Varsity Club Youngstown is more than just a bar and restaurant — it's a hometown hub built around school spirit, community, and entertainment. Located within walking distance of the YSU stadium, the branding needed to reflect its deep ties to local sports culture while appealing to students, alumni, and families alike.

Multiple variations of the logo were created from the primary to dark variations, including logomarks and wordmarks.

The logo features features a powerful logomark that is reminiscent of a varsity letterman's jacket with subtle hints of the jacket's stripes as well. This was intentional design to encapsulate team and community spirit.

I led the brand strategy from the ground up — developing a bold visual identity that fused collegiate energy with a modern tavern vibe. From logo design to typography, color palette, and voice, every element was crafted to evoke a sense of tradition, pride, and fun. The result is a brand that feels local, spirited, and built to last — anchoring Varsity Club as a new favorite in the Youngstown community.
